Committee Opportunities

BER offers a diverse range of committees, each focusing on vital aspects of our industry:

1. Advisory Council: Addresses topics such as events, global diversity, government affairs, professional development, REALTOR® safety, strategic planning, and the REALTOR® Review publication.

2. Events Committee: Plans and executes events that promote member engagement and community outreach.

3. Global Diversity Committee: Promotes diversity and inclusion within the association and educates members on global real estate opportunities.

4. Government Affairs/RPAC Committee: Monitors legislation affecting real estate and advocates for policies beneficial to our members and clients.

5. Professional Development Committee: Develops educational programs and resources to enhance members' skills and knowledge.

6. REALTOR® Review Committee: Contributes to the content and quality of our quarterly publication, ensuring it meets members' needs.

7. REALTOR® Safety Committee: Creates programs and systems to educate members on safety practices in the field.

8. Strategy Committee: Reviews and updates the association's strategic plan to align with evolving industry trends.

9. Young Professionals Network (YPN) Committee: Supports the growth of emerging real estate professionals through networking and educational opportunities.

10. Grievance Committee: Reviews complaints and determines if they warrant further action to uphold ethical standards.

11. Professional Standards Committee: Conducts hearings and enforces the Code of Ethics within our association.

12. Leadership Development Committee: Identifies and cultivates future leaders, oversees strategic planning, and manages nominations for the Board of Directors and awards.

13. Media Committee (Brokers Only): Analyzes market statistics and trends to inform consumers and association members.

14. Multiple Listing Service (MLS) Committee: Evaluates MLS products and services, recommending enhancements to the Corelogic Matrix platform.

Participation Details

Most committees convene monthly, offering hybrid meeting options to accommodate diverse schedules. Active participation is crucial; members with three absences may be removed from their committee roles.

Educational Initiatives

In 2025, BER plans to launch a real estate school offering pre- and post-licensing courses. We are seeking qualified instructors to lead these educational programs.
